How is a company name approved in Cyprus?
Short answer
The advocate applies to the Registrar of Companies for name approval. The Registrar refuses names that are too close to existing companies, or that contain words it restricts.
We check availability against the Registrar's public register first and propose alternatives, so that the application has a reasonable chance of approval.
