Do I need a Cyprus-resident director?
Short answer
Not as a rule of company law, but often in practice. Most Cyprus banks expect one, and a company whose management and control is meant to be in Cyprus needs its decisions taken here.
A private company needs at least one director, aged 18 or over, and a company secretary. The Registrar's rules on directors do not require them to live in Cyprus.
For tax, where the board meets and decides matters more than where the directors live on paper; see how a company's tax residence is decided. Whether your company needs a resident director depends on how it will be run and banked; we set that out before you decide.
The directors are people you choose. TH. Manau does not supply directors or shareholders for clients' companies.
