How are crypto gains taxed in Cyprus from 2026?

Short answer

Gains from disposing of crypto-assets are taxed at a flat 8%, under the 2026 tax reform.

The flat rate replaces the normal income tax rates for these gains. Records of what you bought, when and for how much matter as much here as anywhere; keep them from the day you arrive.

Gains made before you became tax resident in Cyprus belong to the country where you lived then; the answers by country cover what your home country expects when you leave.
