Is there a minimum share capital for a Cyprus company?

Short answer

No, not for a private company limited by shares, the usual form. It can have from one to 50 shareholders; only a public company offering shares has a minimum capital.

The share capital is set in the Memorandum and Articles of Association, which our partner advocate drafts. A modest capital is common; a bank or a permit route can ask for more money in the company, which is a separate question from the share capital.

The Business Facilitation Unit route, for example, asks for an investment of at least €200,000 into the company from the owner's account abroad.
