When do I stop being a Ukrainian tax resident if I live in Cyprus?

Short answer

Ukraine checks residence in order: where your home is, where your permanent home is, where your centre of life is, whether you spend 183 days or more in Ukraine in the tax year, and finally citizenship.

Family members living in Ukraine, or a business registered there, are enough to place your centre of life in Ukraine. So moving your family and closing or handing over a Ukrainian business matter as much as the days.

Cyprus treats you as tax resident under its 183-day or 60-day rule; where both countries claim you, the Ukraine–Cyprus treaty decides.
