Can an American move to Cyprus?
Short answer
Yes. US citizens can visit Cyprus without a visa for up to 90 days; to stay longer, you need a residence permit from the Migration Department, and which one depends on what you will do here.
Working remotely for employers or clients outside Cyprus: the Digital Nomad Visa, with a net income of at least €3,500 a month. Working for your own Cyprus company: a residence and employment permit through a company of foreign interests, with a gross salary of at least €2,500 a month. Living on your own income without working: a visitor permit, with at least €2,000 a month paid into a Cyprus bank account. Investing at least €300,000, with a yearly income of at least €50,000: permanent residence.
Moving does not end your US tax filing; the questions below cover what continues and what changes.
We prepare and submit the application, and the applications for your family in the same file.
