Can I drive in Cyprus on a UK licence?
Short answer
Yes as a visitor, with a UK photocard licence. Once you are resident, GOV.UK says you must exchange it for a Cyprus licence within six months, without a test.
An International Driving Permit does not replace the exchange.
The Cyprus Road Transport Department handles the exchange. Its own page words the timing differently from GOV.UK, so check its current list of documents before you apply.
