How much income do I need for a Cyprus pink slip as a British retiree?

Short answer

At least €2,000 a month (€24,000 a year) for one person, paid into a Cyprus bank account, plus 20% for a spouse and 15% for each child. The visitor permit, the pink slip, does not allow you to work.

The visitor permit is for people who will live in Cyprus on their own money: a pension, savings or investments. It is issued for a year at a time and renewed, and the Migration Department says a decision usually comes within four months.

The application includes health insurance, which the department asks to be a full 'Plan A' policy, and evidence of the income.

If you will work, remotely or for your own company, a different permit applies. If you receive the UK State Pension, an S1 can also give you access to state healthcare in Cyprus.
